MMG Chartered Accountants are proud to support Craig Archbold as he embarks on a challenge to cycle 142 miles from the Lee Valley Velopark in London to the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam with the aim of raising much-needed funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
Craig will be joined in June by hundreds of football fans, some wearing their favourite team’s colours, as they cycle together to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer UK, a charity that raises funds in the hope of finding a cure for this disease. One in eight men suffer from prostate cancer and the disease kills one man every 45 minutes – that’s two men during a football match.
Craig will be cycling in memory of his father, John Archbold, retired partner of MMG who sadly passed away earlier this year. Craig’s journey will take over two days: day one will be from London to Harwich, then an overnight ferry to Holland. Day two will be along the Dutch canal paths to Amsterdam.
John Archbold was a keen football supporter having been a schoolboy signing with Dundee United and a player with Montrose FC and Montrose Roselea JFC. He was also a former director of Montrose FC. It is therefore fitting that his son Craig takes on the Football to Amsterdam challenge and we’re behind him all the way.
